Commander Brask crash-landed on Pyra-7. The only way home is a portal buried deep below the surface, and the rest of the crew is trapped somewhere in the dark rock.

DAY: THE MINE

- Dig down through fog-covered layers before your lamp runs out

- Every shift earns coins for the Mine workshop: sharper pickaxes, a longer lamp, faster digging

- Each layer needs its own pickaxe: forge a better one to break the deeper rock

- Find and rescue the lost dwarves. Each one has a role and helps you in their own way

NIGHT: THE OUTPOST

- Creatures come out after every shift. Aim and shoot with the mouse

- Rescued dwarves join you on the walls and turn to fire at the closest monster

- Earn scrap to build turrets, barricades and outpost upgrades

- The deeper you dig, the stronger the night gets. If the walls fall, the monsters loot some of your scrap

THE DEMO

Covers the first two layers (Topsoil and Clay Beds) and two of the six dwarves. It takes about 20-35 minutes. The full game has four more layers, the Seal, and the portal home.

CONTROLS

Arrow keys / WASD: move and dig  -  Up / Space: jump and climb

Mouse: shoot at night, buy upgrades

P or ESC: pause (sound and music volume are in the pause menu)

ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm a solo developer, and Pixel Miner is only my second game. I'm learning to make games with the help of AI tools: I design the ideas, the gameplay and every change, and AI helps me turn them into code, pixel art and music. It's a big learning journey, and every player makes a real difference to me.

If you enjoyed the demo, here's how you can help a small dev keep going:

- Leave a comment: what you liked, what annoyed you, how deep you got

- Rate the game and follow me here on itch.io, so you hear about the full release

- Share it with a friend who likes cozy pixel games

- Tips are always welcome, but never expected. Playing it already means a lot!

Thank you for digging with me!

Great work on this one. Could totally see it fitting on pixel-deck.com.

 nice work

not really a idle game

You're right, thanks! It's more of an active incremental than an idle game. I've fixed the tags.

is there any way to skeep the outpost minigame? ill preffer to play them separated

Thanks for the feedback! Right now the nights are part of the core loop, but I'm thinking about adding an option to let your defenses fight on their own, so you can focus on mining. No promises yet, but it's on my list!
